About us
Bump and Beyond is a privately run, boutique support service for new parents and parents to be. Our aim is to support and educate people through pregnancy, birth and beyond. Established in 2019, we run a popular Mother's Group Program and Birthing Education Program. Our mothers groups will include 10 mums seeking to connect with other expectant parents as they learn more about pregnancy and birth. Each week our facilitator will facilitate an engaging 1.5 hour session on a variety of postnatal related topics such as: starting solids, healthy sleep foundations, physical recovery. Our facilitators will share one of our digital presentations (or introduce our expert guest speakers) and then help our mums discuss the topic with the group after the information session. In 2023 we launched our Birthing Classes. Birthing class groups will include 8-10 couples seeking to connect with other expectant parents as they learn more about pregnancy and birth. Each week our facilitator will deliver an engaging two hour workshop on a variety of pregnancy and birth related topics such as: stages of labour, coached vs spontaneous pushing, vaginal examinations, monitoring baby, breaking of membranes, pharmaceutical pain management, induction, caesarean section, obstetric emergencies, birth plans/maps and more.

About the role
We require a Birthing Program Facilitator and a Mothers Group Facilitator. These positions can be separated or combined for the right person/people. We are looking for someone who is approachable, highly organised and passionate about supporting expectant and postnatal families. Our goal is to welcome clients into a safe, informative and non-judgemental space where they can listen, learn, ask questions and connect with others. We want to help people feel prepared, reduce fear of the unknown and empower them in their decision making surrounding birth and the first year of life. Please note, as our facilitator you will not be required to counsel or provide any psychological or medical advice. Your role is to share information, listen and refer clients to specialised services should they need further support. As our Birthing Class Facilitator and/or Mothers Group Facilitator you will be required to use our program plans to run a 6 week program independently. We are open to discussion as to what days and times we offer the program (within reason) to suit our successful candidate. This is a contract position for 6 week with the hope of extension. The position is for a sole trader with potential for renewal based on performance and demand.
